Does it really matter how you speak?

There is a major misconception that people have about accent reduction and elocution. People often wrongly assume that I am the one telling them how to speak English. They assume that changing your accent erases your identity.

As I have said before, how you speak is your choice. I simply provide a solution for those who seek it. I am not here to convince anyone to change the way they speak English. A train driver doesn’t convince a passenger to take the train instead of a car. A vegan doesn’t convince a meat-eater to become vegan. It is entirely your choice.

However, I have noticed that many are quite sensitive to the idea that accent reduction or elocution services even exist. Perhaps I have inadvertently touched a nerve, a deep psychological insecurity that hasn’t been resolved. Perhaps, deep down, they genuinely aren’t happy about the way they speak English, but they are afraid to admit it, so they suppress their true desire. If they genuinely weren’t fazed by the way they speak, they would just accept it and move on.

Everyone has their own preferences. Some people eat meat; others are vegetarian. Some people take public transport; others take taxis or cycle. Some people are completely happy with their accent; others are not. It is for the individual to decide.

I offer this service to those who want it. There is certainly a demand, and I am simply here to supply the solution.
